Bus group rebrands to reflect network expansion
Go Thames ValleyA bus group has been renamed in preparation for the pending local government reorganisation.
Oxford Bus Group is now part of Go Thames Valley, and has a network spanning Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and beyond.
The move comes ahead of the local government reorganisation, which scraps the existing two-tier system and will see three unitary authorities take care of everything in Oxfordshire and a part of Berkshire.
Luke Marion, managing director of Go Thames Valley, said the new name ensured they were "more relevant to the communities we serve".
Go Thames ValleyGo Thames Valley consists of Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, Pulhams, Pearces Coaches and City Sightseeing Oxford.
It has 1,300 employees across the group and a portfolio of 540 vehicles, including 132 electric vehicles.
It is owned by one of the largest bus operators in the country, The Go-Ahead Group, which bought Cotswolds coach and bus operator Pulhams in June 2023 and acquired Pearces Coaches in March 2025.
