Pop-up beaches coming to Lincolnshire towns
North Kesteven District CouncilTwo pop-up beaches are coming to Lincolnshire for the summer holidays.
Sleaford-on-Sea will return to the town's market place from 25 July until 23 August.
Meanwhile, Boston's beach will take over Central Park from 14 July until 4 September.
Both towns will also host a variety of free, family friendly activities, including helter-skelter rides, treasure hunts, fancy dress competitions and Punch and Judy shows.
Visitors to the Sleaford-on-Sea beach can collect buckets, spades and deckchairs from the Market Square Cafe.
In addition to the beach activities, there will be a family fun day on 8 August from 11:00 until 16:00 BST.
The event will also feature community stalls from the Heart of Lincs, Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum and the RNLI, alongside a market showcasing young traders.
North Kesteven District Council leader Richard Wright said: "Not only will this be a great event for residents and visitors, but it will also boost the local economy and help Sleaford businesses to thrive."
A mini taster beach will also be transported to Heckington Show on 25 and 26 July.
Meanwhile, Boston pop-up beach will host a series of free, themed events every Wednesday from 11:00 to 15:00 BST, offering nature trails, live music and circus performances.

Council leader Dale Broughton said the beach was a "fantastic way for families, residents and visitors to enjoy a free day out right here in Boston".
He added: "We're looking forward to seeing families, friends and community groups making the most of the park and everything on offer this summer."
