A 15-year-old boy has been detained after a man was found dead at a home in Bolton.

A murder investigation has been launched after 50-year-old man was discovered at a house on Gray Street, on 30 June.

A 15-year-old boy has been detained under the Mental Health Act and will be questioned, police said.

Police believe it to be an isolated incident - adding there is "no wider risk to the local community".

"Our thoughts remain firmly with the man's family and friends," Detective Chief Inspector Louise Edwards said. "Following new information coming to light, we are now carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the events of the day he died."

She added: "There is no information to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, and we are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident."
