Your Voice: Ask us your questions on council shake-up
Devon County CouncilThe government has announced the biggest shake up of local government in more than 50 years.
It will mean Plymouth, Exeter and Torbay all expand and take on council services in surrounding areas.
Towns like Ivybridge and some villages in the South Hams will form part of a Greater Plymouth Council with Exeter set to take over the running of coastal towns like Exmouth and Dawlish while Torbay will expand in all directions. The rest of Devon will come together to form one new "coast and countryside" council.
But what does it mean for you and the town or village where you live? Will your community be affected and who will be running local services such as waste and recycling, road maintenance, libraries and housing?
Or do you work at a local authority and have questions about how your job might be affected?
Share your questions with BBC South West political editor Martyn Oates and Devon political reporter Miles Davis and they will try to explain what's likely to happen in your area.
