Girl taken to hospital after being hit by bus

A girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Nottingham.

Emergency services were called to Trowell Road in Wollaton at 15:45 BST on Thursday.

The road has been closed, near the junction with Birchwood Road, with Nottinghamshire Police warning the road will remain shut "for some time".

The force said it was investigating and asked for anyone with information to come forward.
