Man seriously hurt after being hit by Range Rover
GoogleA 79-year-old man has been seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Anfield.
He was hit by a silver Range Rover at about 18:40 GMT on Sunday following the Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur game at Anfield stadium, Merseyside Police said.
The man, who had been walking along Oakfield Road, suffered a serious injury to his ankle and leg. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
Con Anthony Holden of the Matrix Roads Policing Unit, said it was a serious collision which happened as fans were leaving the stadium and anyone who witnessed what happened to contact police.
"There were numerous people around who will have seen what happened and any information, no matter how small, could help the investigation," he said.
"If you were passing the location and saw or captured the incident on CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage then please share this with police."
"We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which could assist our investigation."
