What a campaign it's been for Jonny Clayton who has already maintained his 100% record of reaching finals night, an impressive feat given that this is the Welshman's fourth appearance in the Premier League.

'The Ferret' won on debut in 2021 and topped the table in 2022, but went on to lose to Joe Cullen in the semi-finals.

He was once again a losing semi-finalist in 2023 as he was beaten by compatriot Gerwyn Price.

Clayton has already clinched, at the very least, £110,000 in prize money this time around, but given his efforts across the season so far, the 51-year-old will no doubt have his eyes on a second title.

Stephen Bunting is on stage and he's giving it large to the crowd, singing 'Titanium' as always.

Never gets old, to be fair.

It's not been the campaign Stephen Bunting would have wanted by any stretch.

But there could be a good omen for him ahead of his fixture with Jonny Clayton.

There have been four whitewashes in this year's Premier League.

Welshman Clayton has been on the receiving end of two of them, one of which was inflicted on him by Bunting.

'The Bullet' averaged 106.09 to dismantle Clayton 6-0 in the semi-finals of night four in Belfast when Bunting secured his only nightly victory of the 2026 Premier League so far.

That said, Clayton has won the other three Premier League meetings between the pair this season and edges the overall head-to-head record 16-10.

Jonny Clayton has been in incredible form in the Premier League, with 20 matches won so far this season.

The 2021 Premier League champion will be hoping to go to London next week with momentum and there's no better way to do so than by winning in Sheffield tonight.

But Stephen Bunting won't want to go quietly and if he wins the night, he can even finish fifth.

Luke Littler has already clinched top spot, and Jonny Clayton is guaranteed second place.

Gerwyn Price needs to better or match Luke Humphries' points total to finish third and avoid playing Littler in the semis on finals night.

Humphries will finish third - and set-up a semi-final meeting with Clayton on finals night - if he gains more points than Price.

If they both exit at the same stage, then Price will finish third thanks to his two night wins.

Michael van Gerwen will finish fifth if he betters or matches the number of points earned by Van Veen, providing he wins at least his quarter-final, or if Stephen Bunting fails to win the night.

Gian van Veen will rise above Van Gerwen into fifth if he collects more points than his fellow Dutchman.

If both Dutch players lose their quarter-finals, the door would be open for Stephen Bunting to sneak above both players, but he would need to win the night.

Josh Rock needs to win night 16 in Sheffield and hope Bunting fails to collect any points to stand a chance of finishing seventh. Any other scenario will ensure the Northern Irishman ends his debut Premier League campaign in last place.

For some players it has been really hard graft and for others it has been easier work, but it culminates in this and who finishes third and fourth.

Every player will want to finish on a high note though because who knows what confidence boost it could give. There is the World Cup coming up and a lot of European and Tour events.

The atmosphere in here is superb.

Fans just belted out a rendition of Sweet Caroline.

It raised a smile from Michael van Gerwen who appeared to be on a video call backstage but quickly pointed his phone to the singing fans in the stands.
