For now, the pressure is off as far as 'The Iceman' is concerned.

He has secured his place at finals night for the third time in his career.

But he may still be determined to finish third to avoid a semi-final showdown with Luke Littler.

For this to happen, Price needs to better or match the amount of points gained by Luke Humphries tonight.

Price has lost eight successive matches against reigning world champion Littler - six of which have been in this season's Premier League.

Should he secure third, Price would face Jonny Clayton in the semis at London's O2 next week.

Price has an excellent record against his fellow Welshman.

He leads 29-13 overall and has beaten Clayton in 18 of the past 21 meetings between the duo, although Clayton won the most recent match-up on night 14 in Leeds.

So third will certainly be Price's target.

Gerwyn Price talking to Sky Sports about his ongoing health issues: "It can just affect me, it is not every week. It comes and goes but every two or three weeks it comes back. I'm never sure how it's going to affect me. This week, I'm fine, last week I was fine too and hopefully I'm fine next week. It can come back but hopefully I can hold it off.

"I've lost in the final and I probably should have won it in the past. I'm playing alright and hopefully if I'm fit next week I've got a good chance."

Now, it's time for a former world champion to take on a world championship runner-up.

Stephen Bunting was averaging more than 110 at one stage in that game, but actually finishes with a lower average than Jonny Clayton.

The doubles were key though.

This result means Stephen Bunting could yet finish fifth in the table.

He will need to win tonight in Sheffield and hope both Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen lose their quarter-finals.

Bunting's victory also guarantees that debutant Josh Rock will finish rock (sorry) bottom.

And good news for lovers of Sia's Titanium. You'll get to hear it at least once more in this season's Premier League!

Jonny Clayton isn't one to be defeated and he's just pinged in a 101 finish to make Stephen Bunting throw for the win.

He took a step forwards and then realised he was agonisingly off target.

Stephen Bunting has played some good stuff in the Premier League. but he just hasn't pieced it all together. He's had some troubles on the doubles.

He can leave with his head held high and attack some events and that has to be the approach because he'll want to get back in the Premier League.
