Elsewhere, Japan have secured a 27-10 win over Italy in Tokyo.

Takuro Matsunaga scored 17 points to help Japan to a big win.

    Next up, it's Ireland.

It's been a weird one. We've had nearly twice as many tries as the New Zealand v France game earlier at the same stage, yet it hasn't felt on edge as the first game of the day.

Australia have dominated but Ireland have somehow stayed in touch.

All to play for in the second half.

That was really, really brave from Ireland and that's exactly what we want from the team. They'll be absolutely ecstatic with 24-19 at half-time.

It's been the most one-sided five point game I've seen in a long time.

That will be all for the opening 40 minutes.

Just the seven tries but it's Australia that lead.

    Jamison Gibson-Park (con Prendergast)

    Ireland are back in it!

Garry Ringrose finds Jack Conan, who charges into the 22.

Jamison Gibson-Park, as he so often is, was on his shoulder and latches onto a pass to score.

It all started from their own 22, and it's a much-needed score in the final play of the half.

    Sam Prendergast converts.

Ireland are having a go at one final attack of the half and have made it over halfway. Can they strike back?

There's two sides to look at here. The Wallabies attack has been great, but Ireland at the minute have absolutely no answers in defence.

Jamison Gibson-Park seems to be on the edge in the front line making really difficult defensive reads the whole time.

Ireland are under massive pressure when the Wallabies are in possession.

Ireland are shooting out of the line and it's creating chance after chance for the Wallabies.

They are one poor pass to Jorgensen away from being in again.

We're into the final minute of the half.

Australia are almost in again as Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii races clear but Hugo Keenan manages to bring him down five metres out to stop another certain try.

That's two try-saving tackles from the Leinster man so far, and another big, big let off.

That was a strange little incident. Was it Van der Flier's foot and then Gibson Park knocks it on?

It's a shame because that was probably one of the nicest passages of attack we've seen from Ireland.

The ball is knocked out of Jamison Gibson-Park's hands as he went to release the ball, so Australia will have the scrum about 10 metres from their own line.

Ryan Lonergan is off to deal with some blood, with Tate McDermott on in his place.
