In Division Two, Durham and Kent are in commanding positions, Northants and Middlesex in strong ones.

Plenty still to play for tomorrow and we will be here to guide you through it from 10:30 BST.

  3. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 19:06 BST 13 June

    Leics 187 & 51-0 v Essex 401

A brighter end to a rather dismal day after Leics were comprehensively outplayed to the halfway mark of this contest.

Trailing by 214 runs after exchanging first innings with Jordan Cox providing the bulk of it with 204 (and a timely nudge to the England selectors it was too), the Foxes were forced to follow-on.

Nick Kelly contributed a very good 78 as Simon Harmer took 3-42 and Charlie Bennett 3-48.

Essex had 13 overs to fire down at a first-class debutant in Sheridon Gumbs and an opener in Rishi Patel who is not known for keeping his shots in reserve.

But the pair have motored quite nicely to a half century without loss.

Make no mistake Leics are still squarely behind the eight ball in this contest, trailing by 163 and facing a task to make Essex bat again.

  4. Close of play at Stanley Parkpublished at 18:59 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 320-8

It has been pretty much one-way traffic from start to finish on day two at Stanley Park.

Kent skittled through Lancashire to bowl them out for 87, thanks in large part to Keith Dudgeon's 6-21 from 12 overs.

The visitors have since gone on to build up a lead of 411, with Harry Finch hitting 83 and Chris Benjamin reaching a century, unbeaten on 101.

Kent end the day 320-8 and it feels like a long, long way back for Lancashire to salvage anything from this game.

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 320-8

Jimmy Anderson is bowling the final over of the day for Lancashire. A long old day for the hosts.

  6. Postpublished at 18:56 BST 13 June

    Leics 187 & 46-0 v Essex 401

Two overs left in the day at Uptonsteel Grace Road and Sheridon Gumbs vs Shane Snater is the match up for the first of them.

  7. Close of play at Worcesterpublished at 18:55 BST 13 June

    Middx 339 & 5-0 v Worcs 265

Opening batters Ben Geddes and Sam Robson survive the two overs to the close leaving Middlesex in a strong position despite a fightback from Worcestershire.

Middlesex did well to push their total well beyond 300 in the morning session with Sebastian Morgan finishing 58 not out.

It was a memorable day for the teenager who claimed three wickets with the ball including that of Matthew Waite who was the most fluent Worcestershire batter in reaching 69.

Earlier Toby Roland-Jones did the damage taking four of the first five wickets to show how potent the 38-year-old still is.

Worcestershire recovered from 80-5 to claim a batting point but Middlesex take a useful 79 run lead into the third day.

  8. Close of play at Trent Bridgepublished at 18:55 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 73-2

Somerset end day two in the driving seat at Trent Bridge.

After taking the final three wickets for just 15 runs and removing the visitors for 310, things have gone downhill for Nottinghamshire.

Haseeb Hameed went for a duck with the first ball of the Notts innings in reply and other than a Jack Haynes 50, there wasn't too much to shout about with the bat.

Notts were bowled out for 193 by Somerset with Lewis Gregory taking 4-51 before limping off with a suspected hamstring injury.

Somerset now lead by 190 as they end the day 73-2.

  9. 100 runs

100 for Chris Benjaminpublished at 18:54 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 319-8

Yes he can get the ton!

Chris Benjamin nudges to mid-on and races through for a quick single to take him to 100.

It's taken him just 78 balls, with six fours and FIVE sixes.

  10. Postpublished at 18:54 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 318-8

Chris Benjamin moves to 99* with a quick two off George Balderson.

Just eight balls left today - can he get the ton?

  11. Postpublished at 18:53 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 73-2

Just two more balls in the day for Somerset nightwatchman Alfie Ogborne to survive from Mohammad Ali.

  12. Close of play at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 18:53 BST 13 June

    Durham 377 v Derbyshire 118 & 99-4 (f/o)

Nick Potts is sent out as nightwatchman and Derbyshire avoid further damage in the final over of the day, bowled by Ben Raine.

The visitors need another 160 to avoid an innings defeat, though, after a woeful first-innings batting effort in which Caleb Jewell's 37 was the only score of note.

After Raine and Matthew Potts made inroads with the new ball, Kasey Aldridge claimed 5-19 in 5.4 overs as Derbyshire were all out in 29.4 overs and asked to follow-on.

They were soon in trouble as Potts picked up 4-32 in 11 overs but opener Harry Came is still there on 48 not out from 118 balls.

  13. Postpublished at 18:51 BST 13 June

    Leics 187 & 38-0 v Essex 401

Rishi Patel is travelling along nicely despite the fact he has had to ride his luck a touch, dropped by Charlie Allison at short midwicket off Shane Snater on 11.

It was a difficult chance which Allison did well to even get a hand to but Patel has not taken his foot off the pedal since, moving to 23 from 34 balls.

Snater now has a big shout for lbw against the other opener, Sheridon Gumbs, which looks very close. Very close. But this is not given and the Leics man strokes a boundary through backward point next ball.

  14. Postpublished at 18:49 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 72-2

Alfie Ogborne had been sent out as a nightwatchman when Josh Thomas got out, but Somerset have resumed with their usual order following Jordan Hermann's dismissal and Lewis Goldsworthy is there for the final two overs.

  15. Close of play at Hovepublished at 18:48 BST 13 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 42-0

Glamorgan survive a 12-over mini-session unscathed but reach the close 324 in arrears after a brilliant batting exhibition by James Coles for Sussex.

He made a career-best 224 not out, hitting 11 sixes and 22 fours, with good support from John Simpson (34), Jack Carson (46) and number 11 Jaydev Unadkat, who contributed 12 to a last-wicket stand of 103.

Sussex have, though, lost pace bowler Henry Crocombe from their attack after he was summoned into the England squad for the second Test against New Zealand.

Asa Tribe is 27 not out for Glamorgan and Zain ul Hassan will resume on five.

  16. Close of play at Scarboroughpublished at 18:46 BST 13 June

    Warwickshire 225-7 v Yorkshire 469

Yorkshire have been on top throughout the game and Warwickshire have been on the back foot on the second day.

With Jonny Bairstow racing to 68 Yorkshire added 83 in quick order in the morning session and from the moment Alex Davies played on in the second over Warwickshire have struggled.

Rob Yates offered admirable resistance in the top order and Ed Barnard continued to battle to the close. He finished 60 not out.

It's a strange game at times. The most successful bowler Jack White bowled a number of good deliveries but claimed two of his three victims with over pitched balls down the leg side.

Warwickshire will need 95 more in the morning to deny Yorkshire the opportunity to enforce a follow on if they want to.

WICKETpublished at 18:46 BST 13 June

    Madsen b Potts 18 (Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 99-4)

Big wicket for Durham as Matthew Potts cleans up Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen with one that keeps low.

Potts now has 4-32 for his efforts this afternoon and there is one over to come following this one.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:45 BST 13 June

    Hermann c Clarke b Ali 40 (Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 72-2)

Big wicket for Nottinghamshire in the third to last over of the day!

Mohammad Ali bangs it in short to Jordan Hermann, who goes for the big hook.

It goes through to Joe Clarke behind the stumps and the Notts field goes up... and the umpire gives it.

Looks like it hit something on the way past Hermann, but he is not a happy man as he trudges off.

  19. Postpublished at 18:41 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 308-8

Jimmy Anderson and Matt Parkinson have a good laugh together as Anderson makes Parkinson squirm with a bouncer.

Nice to see between the two former team-mates at Lancashire.

Anderson isn't smiling quite as much the very next ball as Parkinson drives him for four through the covers off the back foot.

  20. wicket

WORCS ALL OUTpublished at 18:41 BST 13 June

    Finch b Gohar 4 (Worcs 265 v Middx 339)

Zafar Gohar gets one to turn and appeals for lbw only to discover he'd bowled Adam Finch.

Worcestershire got further than looked likely at one stage but it is a first innings lead of 74 for Middlesex.

They will have to face two overs before the close.
