Voices 2026 - London Hub

We're delighted to introduce this year's London Voices writers. Over the past six months, it's been a real privilege to spend time with such a talented, ambitious and generous group of storytellers as they've developed the ideas they most want to bring to the screen.  What has struck us throughout the programme is not only the quality of the work, but the individuality behind it. Every writer has brought a distinct perspective, a unique creative voice and a genuine passion for storytelling. The result is a cohort whose projects are as varied, surprising and entertaining as the city they represent. Alongside developing their ideas, the group have challenged one another, shared experiences, built lasting creative relationships and embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Watching their confidence develop and their projects take shape has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.  

While Voices marks an important milestone, it also feels like the beginning of something. We are incredibly excited about what lies ahead for these writers and proud to have played a small part in their development. We can't wait to see the stories they go on to tell, the audiences they connect with and the impact they'll have on the future of British television. For now, we're thrilled to celebrate their achievements and introduce them to you. We hope you'll enjoy discovering their work as much as we've enjoyed working with them.

Lewis Brierly

Lewis Brierly is a screenwriter originally from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, and now based in London. 

His dark comedy script, THE WISE WOMEN OF LITTLE PICKENHAM, saw him selected for BBC London Voices and the Channel 4 Screenwriting Mentorship Programme. As part of these schemes, he is developing a thriller about assassins, betrayal, and escaping your fate, and a comedy about a radioactive cockapoo. 

He has been shortlisted for 4Screenwriting, the BBC Open Call, the London Library Emerging Writers Programme, and the DNMT New Comedy Writing Competition. He has also contributed material to award-winning BBC Radio 4 show ‘The Skewer’. 

Outside of writing, Lewis produced the BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying ecological film ‘Spirit of Place’ starring Mark Rylance. The film was made in collaboration with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and was the first project to implement Equity’s Green Rider, leading the way for a new era of sustainable filmmaking.

Natalie Froome

Nat Froome has wanted to write TV ever since she discovered, while watching Doctor Who: Confidential as an eight-year-old, that making up stories was a job. 

She graduated from UEA’s Creative Writing MA with distinction in 2019 and has since been developing various stage and screen projects while working as a Hansard Reporter, including an original political thriller that was optioned for development.

Nat was nominated for the All3Media New Drama Script Award at the Edinburgh TV Festival’s New Voice Awards and previously shortlisted for Channel 4’s 4Stories. She’s had short plays performed at the King’s Head Theatre and the Pleasance Theatre, among others, and had an original audio drama commissioned for and performed by final year RADA students. 

Nat loves writing bold, playful thrillers with messy female leads. She is represented by Penni Killick at The Artists Partnership.

Flora Gill

Flora Gill is a screenwriter and journalist who uses humour to explore serious themes. Her debut television show is currently in development and she's always working on new spec scripts that nobody asked for. Her debut short film won the Pears Short Film Fund and will be released later this year.  

Flora’s articles have been published in almost every national newspaper including The Sunday Times Magazine, The Sunday Times Style Magazine, You Magazine, The Evening Standard, Airmail, GQ, and Radio Times.  

Flora's debut book will be published by HarperCollins in 2027.  

Flora is represented by Jonny Jones at United Agents. 

Tim Glister

Tim Glister is a screenwriter and novelist, born in Newcastle and based in London. He is interested in creating stories about unexpected characters and perspectives that subvert well-loved genres. 

He is currently developing INFLUENCE, a hyper-modern political drama series based on his personal experience working behind the scenes in advertising, audience profiling and political communications. Other TV projects include REDEMPTION, a crime thriller series with touches of sci-fi that explores issues around incarceration and rehabilitation in a resource-depleted UK, and THE QUEEN AND THE COWBOY, a period series about the intimate friendship between Queen Victoria and Buffalo Bill that scandalised Victorian society.

He is the author of a trilogy of spy thrillers. The first in the series, RED CORONA, won the People’s Book Prize First Time Author Award. The second, A LOYAL TRAITOR, was a Times thriller of the month and nominated for the CWA Steel Dagger. The third, A GAME OF DECEIT, was a Financial Times thriller of the month. His latest novel, I AM NOT MYSELF, is a psychological thriller about identity set in Naples, London, and the deep British countryside.

Rebecca Goulding

Rebecca Goulding is a South London writer of Caribbean descent working across prose and screen. Raised by two avid cinephiles and spending childhood summers in Grenada, she grew up on a steady diet of films, books and stories, imagining worlds filled with mystery and mayhem. 

Drawn to the gothic and magic realism, Rebecca's work often uses supernatural elements to interrogate history, identity, belonging and power, particularly within the African diaspora. She is especially interested in the tension between the extraordinary and the everyday, and the surreal experience of carrying on with ordinary life while the world around you is quietly unravelling. 

A lifelong fantasy lover and unapologetic sucker for a revenge plot, Rebecca completed an MA in Scriptwriting at the University of East Anglia in 2024. In 2025, she was shortlisted for the Merky Books New Writers' Prize for her dark antebellum fantasy manuscript, which she is currently adapting for television.  Rebecca is seeking literary and screen representation.

Ambereen Haider

Ambereen Haider is an emerging screenwriter from East London creating stories rooted in the brutal absurdity and humanity of the working-class experience. Shaped by her upbringing in the East End, Ambereen’s work is unflinching in its exploration of morality, class and identity through characters that exist on the outskirts of society. 

Her debut pilot script THE USTADS earned her a place on BBC Voices, ranking in the top 1.6% of submissions. The story traces the unspoken impact of intergenerational trauma on a British-Pakistani family over the course of three generations. Ambereen is currently developing TILLING ESTATE, a kitchen sink drama series set in the 1970s, which she began during her time on the programme.

Alongside her writing, Ambereen holds an MSc in Security Studies from UCL and works full-time in strategic communications across the fields of security and defence, with a focus on tackling misinformation in an increasingly complex global communications landscape. 

She is actively seeking representation as a screenwriter.

Jasmine Naziha Jones

Jasmine’s work is always laced with comedy - whether exploring migration and power or the small wars of family life. Her writing spans from the dark and political to the whimsical and satirical, driven by a fascination with how we use narrative to metabolise our increasingly surreal world.  

Her debut play, BAGHDADDY, premiered downstairs at the Royal Court and was a finalist for the 2024 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. She is currently developing her next play on attachment at the National Theatre Studio, has written for Shakespeare’s Globe and NT Connections, and held a writer’s attachment at the RSC. She is writing the book for a musical adaptation of Margherita Vicario’s award-winning film Gloria!, and was part of the writers’ room for Tony Grisoni’s Channel 4 series Siege. She has an original comedy and a drama in development for screen.  

As an actor, her credits include series regular Zed Hylton in Nightsleeper (BBC), Alice & Jack (Channel 4), and Turn Up Charlie (Netflix). Jasmine played Baby Aya in Ned Bennett’s production of Buggy Baby.

Shereen Jasmin Phillips

Shereen Jasmin Phillips is an award-winning multidisciplinary creative, writer, dramaturg and senior arts leader of Vincy heritage. A Royal Central School of Speech and Drama alumna, she was Creative Director of Haringey Shed’s 25th Anniversary Production at Alexandra Palace this year and Creative Director of the Young Vic’s Taking Part department for six years, where she led acclaimed engagement work, including SUNDOWN KIKI London’s first theatre-ballroom show. 

Her screenwriting and development work includes her pilot script BLACK BRITISH MAFIA, and she is currently developing a new original spec script inspired by her experience working in an all-male high-needs hostel. Her short film PAVED WITH GOLD was selected for Cardiff International Film Festival. 

As a dramaturg and writer, her credits include AITOPIA and LOVE REIGN, alongside extensive script and story development with emerging and established artists. Recent work includes dramaturgy on TO SIR WITH LOVE - THE MUSICAL, which will tour regionally, opening at Leeds Grand Theatre. As of July 2026, Shereen is currently working as a Storyliner for Eastenders

Shereen Jasmin writes ambitious, character-driven drama rooted in contemporary reality, with a focus on ensemble storytelling, procedural worlds and long-form narratives. Her work explores the systems that shape people and transform worlds. She centres complex characters and shifting dynamics, blending emotional truth, social commentary and humour.  

Shereen is co-founder and creative director of Applied Scripted Arc with Emma Dennis-Edwards, a social impact creative company supporting neurodivergent, Global Majority, and working-class creatives through script consultancy, leadership development, and community-led projects with clients including Hackney Empire and Crest Academy.  Her creative facilitation practice draws on theatre, film, and movement to create spaces of care, pride and collective authorship. 

Shereen is also a trustee of Access All Areas and Raw Material, and a member of the UNESCO community advisory group. Shereen is open to conversations with agents and management who are excited by her intersectional practice and can support the international reach of her work, across theatre, screen and community arts.

Hannah Price

Hannah Price is an award-winning director and writer working across television, theatre, immersive experiences and video games. She trained at RADA and the Donmar Warehouse, and has directed theatre nationally and internationally, with a particular focus on new writing. She was founder and Co-Artistic Director of Theatre Uncut, where she commissioned and developed work with writers including Jack Thorne, Caryl Churchill, Lucy Kirkwood, Dennis Kelly, Mark Ravenhill and Inua Ellams, among others. She was Co-Artistic Director of the Kings Head with Mark Ravenhill.  

Her wider work in immersive storytelling includes Creative Direction and Story Creation on The Gunpowder Plot (***** The Times), a multi-million-pound experience at the Tower of London; Creative Direction on the upcoming Museum of Shakespeare; and writing and creative direction with Buried Giants, the immersive studio she co-founded. As a Performance and Live Action Director for video games, she has directed on major AAA titles including Alan Wake II, Control, Final Fantasy XVI, multiple LEGO titles, The Division, Dying Light 2 and many more, working as part of multiple BAFTA-winning teams. She was a 2025 BAFTA Games Awards juror for Best Performer in a Lead Role. 

While on the scheme, Hannah has been writing a sweeping six-part historical thriller about women, power and espionage in the 17th century. She is currently developing original television drama and is looking for literary representation.

Khai Shaw

Khai Shaw is a multi-disciplinary Writer and Actor/Performer. As an actor he has worked on numerous critically acclaimed productions, including Deep Azure by Chadwick Boseman at Shakespeare’s Globe, Arinze Kene's Little Baby Jesus, Much Ado About Nothing at the RSC and Riches on ITV/Amazon. He also has numerous performance nominations across several leading awards bodies including The Black British Theatre Awards, The Off-West End Awards and The Stage Debut Awards. 

As a writer, he wrote his debut play AROMATHERAPY, tackling the issues of Toxic Masculinity from a Black-British perspective on Talawa Writers Group and Soho Writers Lab. This led to him gaining a place on the Royal Court Writers Group and the long-list for the Theatre 503 International Playwrights Award and the Tony Craze Award, as well as gaining him a place on BBC Voices. In 2024, Khai co-wrote a Hip-Hop musical adaption of Romeo and Juliet with Beats and Elements theatre company at Polka Theatre. It received critical acclaim and numerous Off-West End Award nominations including best new writing for Young Audiences. The show went on to win the Best Music/Sound award at the OFFIEs for its innovative music and lyrical script. 

His work blends the metaphysical with the physical, touching on various crucial topics within the cultural zeitgeist including Patriarchy, Grooming, Interracial Relationships, and more. He is actively pursuing a career in Screenwriting and Playwriting and is currently developing a new piece of theatre with Beats and Elements, as well as developing several short films and his new drama The Republic on BBC Voices. His second play The Pinch, was developed on The Royal Court Writers Group and he is working on adapting it for screen. He is currently seeking representation.
