Cook, Welton and Gemmell made Beverley an unlikely centre of WWI shipbuilding. Dr Robb Robinson, Honorary Research Fellow, University of Hull, tells the story of the inland yard that built hundreds of trawlers and naval vessels, including the Viola, a fishing boat turned minesweeper that still survives today.
