The NHS wants to see more blood donors from Black heritage groups to come forward. It has issued an amber alert which means there is a shortage of blood from these groups.It is a high priority in areas like Manchester as well as the other parts of the UK. Geraldine Parker-Smith is a NHS National Partnerships Manager and explains why this matters to BBC reporter Karen Gabay.
