William Morris's utopian vision of a future England which had left industrialisation behind was first published in 1890.
William Morris (1834 -1896) was an English designer, craftsman, poet, and early socialist. His decorative designs greatly influenced the rise of the Arts and Crafts movement in England and revolutionised Victorian taste.
