Chris Hawkins sits in with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

Today he marks the 40th anniversary of 'The Festival of the Tenth Summer'... a legendary music and art festival held in Manchester in July 1986. The event was organised by Factory Records to celebrate the 10th anniversary of punk and the Sex Pistols' influential 1976 gig at the city's Lesser Free Trade Hall, which had famously inspired a host of musicians in the city to form their own bands. The Festival of the Tenth Summer culminated in an all-day concert at the G-Mex centre with an almighty line-up that included many of those bands. Among them New Order, The Fall and The Smiths.

Chris plays a selection of tracks from artists on the line-up and hears from one Mark Radcliffe who shares his memories of attending that epic all-day gig.

Also on the show ... long-running feature ‘The Chain’ which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8,800 songs.

There’s also the chance to take part in ‘Tea Time Theme Time’, guessing the link between three top tunes.

With a finely balanced blend of new and old music, setting you up for a Sunday including tracks from Steve Lacy, The Shins, Eaves Wilder, Neil Young, Fatboy Slim and Phoebe Bridgers.
