The Gesualdo Six live at Wigmore Hall

Mark Forrest introduces live performance from The Gesualdo Six at London's Wigmore Hall plus highlights from the recent St Magnus Festival on Orkney.

The Gesualdo Six perform live from Wigmore Hall, with a collection of exquisite vocal consort pieces. And Mark Forrest introduces a week of specially recorded performances from the recent St. Magnus Festival in this, its 50th year. And throughout this week, Classical Live is shining a spotlight on the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Vasily Petrenko with exclusive recordings. Today, you can tune in for Elgar's symphonic study Falstaff. Also, baritone Roderick Williams performs a new work from the Scottish composer Jay Capperauld with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Andrew Manze.
