Demo protests against work laws
Hundreds of union members gathered at a protest in Jersey's Royal Square on Tuesday against new employment laws.

They were opposing plans to introduce a new law governing the relationship between employers and their staff.

The law will put in place a way for employers and workers to resolve disputes and the committee in charge says it will be a major step forward.

But unions say it focuses on union issues rather than matters such as discrimination, race or redundancy.
